the Orione - Classic Deacon Stole
the Orione - Classic Deacon Stole
Named for St. Luigi Orione, the patron saint of the homeless and poor. The Orione is made with an intricate printed cotton in forest green and cream. This stole can be made with either the cream cross shapes as centered on the stole (as shown) or with the forest green shapes centered. This beautiful stole and its incredible namesake remind us of the need to root our everyday lives in caring for the vulnerable.
The Classic Deacon Stole is a beautifully cut stole that is 3” wide at the top and has ends that taper slightly to 4” wide. It sits smoothly on the shoulder and conforms easily to any shoulder size.
(A note from Andrea: Kindly note, I have not yet made this design in a Classic Deacon Cut, and therefore do not have pictures of one. Hopefully you can get an idea of what it would look like with the photos provided. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.)
