the Raphael - Byzantine Deacon Stole
the Raphael - Byzantine Deacon Stole
Named for St. Raphael the Archangel, the patron saint of travelers, matchmakers, and marriage. The Raphael is made with brilliant white dupioni silk, with rainbow embroidery meticulously stitched on each stole end. The Raphael is a lovely stole for a wedding or Easter season. It reminds us of the beauty of love, along with the recognition that love is never a destination, but a journey to be traveled together.
The Byzantine Deacon Stole is a gorgeous stole that is also extremely comfortable to wear. It is constructed with a 3.5” wide cross-body loop with an attached tapered stole segment that extends down both the front and back of the body. This stole is essentially two stoles joined together, therefore it is more expensive than the Classic Deacon Stoles. That being said, it is a fantastic value for this stunning stole.
(Kindly note: I do not have a physical Raphael Byzantine Deacon Stole to show yet, but please refer to the drawing to see what the design would look like. This is a re-imagined design based on the Priest Stole version of the same design.)
