the Brigid - Byzantine Deacon Stole
the Brigid - Byzantine Deacon Stole
Named for St. Brigid of Ireland, patron saint of scholars and healers. The Brigid is made with three tones of luxurious dupioni silk: rich ruby red as the main fabric, vibrant red cut in with a vertical fabric grain, and a rose-gold cross embroidered with gold thread. The Brigid is a beautiful bridge stole linking the scholarly work of the past to the healing work of the future.
The Byzantine Deacon Stole is a gorgeous stole that is also extremely comfortable to wear. It is constructed with a 3.5” wide cross-body loop with an attached tapered stole segment that extends down both the front and back of the body. This stole is essentially two stoles joined together, therefore it is more expensive than the Classic Deacon Stoles. That being said, it is a fantastic value for this stunning stole.
(Kindly note: I do not have a physical Brigid Byzantine Deacon Stole to show yet, but please refer to the drawing to see what the design would look like. This is a re-imagined design based on the Priest Stole version of the same design.)
